Messianic Jewish Theological Institute Expands in Jerusalem
What do a banjo, a clarinet, and a Torah Scroll have in common? Nothing, you might say, unless you could have witnessed the jubilant Torah parade outside our Jerusalem campus on February 26, 2009. The occasion was a celebration of the new Beit Knesset (synagogue) installed at our Jerusalem facility.
Imagine a modern Jerusalem street, not far from the old city and quite close to various centers of world Jewry, with Israel Operations Director Haim ben Haim and MJTI President Mark Kinzer along with fifty supporters. Says President Kinzer, “Jerusalem is the city where the heart of MJTI belongs.”
Imagine Messianic Jewish learning growing in America and also in Israel. The dream is already beginning. Not far from various centers of Orthodox, Reform, and Conservative Judaism there is now a center for Messianic Jewish education in Jerusalem because of God’s blessing and the generosity of MJTI friends.
We can join in the prayer of Psalm 102, “that men may declare in Zion the name of the Lord, and in Jerusalem his praise” (vs. 22).
